January 2025 Build Diary
Week 1
As we embark on a new year, we reignite our passion for driving existing projects forward, fostering innovation, and paving the way for a brighter, more prosperous future filled with growth, improvement, and boundless possibilities.
To do list for week 1:-
· Aluminium Sub frame
· Custom Swing-arm production
· Quick Throttle Design
· SR 16 Chassis 3 welding
· SR 16 Chassis 4 tube bending
We had our own design for our SR 16 Sub Frame. Its main purpose is to improve the agility of the bike and decrease rear weight of the bike. We started producing the aluminum sub frame, One of the major challenges for this is the welding. This aluminum subframe is of the same design as the steel one. We have just done it for the weight reduction and agility purpose.
We had the design of the aluminum quick throttle from the design team by mid week. We started manufacturing the base of the quick throttle in Lathe Machine and it came out to have a very good finish. Our aluminum quick throttle are designed and developed for racing performance. It is developed after doing intense testing on track by our riders.
Week 2
To Do list :-
· SR16 Battery box design and assembly.
· Installing the liquid cool system in SR16.
· SR 16 Chassis 4 welding and assembly.
Battery Box design was ready. The design is mainly based keeping in mind to accommodate the liquid cooled system, new motor, controller. Its was a new design for the battery box. The parts of the battery box was produced with aluminum sheet for weight reduction purpose. This design is one of the unique designs we have produced which improved the center of gravity of the bike also.
We have currently 2 same chassis under development Proloy 1 & 2. We have installed the liquid cooled system in one of them to compare the performance of both the motor under different circumstances.
Week 3
To do list :-
- Cell assembly according to the battery box.
- Assembly of Proloy 2 & testing it on track
- Quick throttle tube cutting and welding.
- Custom Aluminum Swingarm production.
- SR8x New Chassis Design
All the parts of the quick throttle was ready, it just need to be assembled and it is ready to be used. It is designed in such a was it can be used with universal wire and can be used in 22mm standard motocross handlebars with universal grips, just to make it easily accessible for riders to buy and use it.
We are currently using steel swing-arms for our bikes for reducing some weight and increasing the performance of the bike we wanted to build aluminum swing arm. We had the fixture ready for the swing arm. But the process of building this swing arm is completely different. In steel swing arm we used to use rectangular bar but in aluminum swing arm we designed it in such a way that we are use aluminum rods and the outer shell of the swing arm is with aluminum sheet. Thw swing arm fixture making under process-
The assembly of Proloy 2 was also under process. We were a bit short on timing for testing, so the maximum manpower was involved in the assembly of the Proloy 2.
SR8 is one of our successful bikes. We started building it in 2020 and developed it throughout 2021. We wanted to develop it more and make it more off-road and racing oriented by giving it better suspension and more power. The bike was previously developed with fun purpose. We started developing a modified design of this bike.
Week 4
To do list:-
- Repairing and servicing of the start gate.
- SR Proloy neck Production.
- Swing arm production.
- Suspension Mount design and production.
We had made start gate for motocross race purpose in 2022. It has been designed and produced in our workshop. After 3 years there are some damages in the start gate and it needed some repair works. It has served for more than 100 races and uncountable practice days. We were one of the first in eastern India to use start gates in the races.
The neck for SR17 was also produced in-house in the latte machine. We keep the neck sizes fixed for all our bikes and model as we want our suspensions T to match with all the bikes, so that there are no complexity in sources parts.
The aluminum swing is also almost ready. The tubes are being bend as per our design with the help of bending machine. The bushes are being produced in the latte machine. Now its time to assemble and do all the welding in the fixture.
The swing-arm end plate is also being designed and manufactured. It has the axle hole and the chain adjuster. All the parts are being placed in the fixture for welding purpose.
Meanwhile our testing got ended in our track and the race bikes are coming back to the workshop for pre race servicing and fine tuning for best performance in the race.
